FlipBack Replay is made by Stefan Tribble ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect through flipbackreplay.com and the FlipBack Replay software, and what we do with it. Questions go to hello@flipbackreplay.com.
- The website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising.
- If you contact us or ask to hear when FlipBack is available, we use what you send only for that.
- FlipBack runs on your computer. It doesn't send us your recordings, clips, settings or usage.
- We don't sell your personal information.
What we collect
When you contact us
If you email us or use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, any company or show details you include, and your message. We use them to answer you, arrange a demo and, if you tick the box on the form or ask by email, tell you when FlipBack Replay is available.
When you ask to hear when FlipBack is available
If you use the Notify me form, we receive your email address and use it only to tell you when FlipBack Replay is available. Email us at any time to be taken off the list.
When you visit the website
The site's pages, fonts and code all come from our own web host. Like any web server, it sees your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, and keeps them in standard server logs for security and troubleshooting.
When you buy FlipBack Replay
FlipBack Replay isn't on sale yet. When sales open, a payment provider will take your payment and we'll receive what we need to issue and support your license: your name, email address, country and order details. We won't see or store your full card number. We'll name the payment provider here before sales open.
In the software
FlipBack works on your computer and your own network. Its NDI®, TSL tally and HTTP control features talk only to the devices you set up. Recordings, clips, exports and logs stay on your computer unless you choose to send them to us, for example a diagnostic log for support.
Why we use it
If you're in the European Economic Area or the UK, these are our legal bases:
- Replying to you and giving support: our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us, or steps you ask for before buying.
- Telling you when FlipBack is available: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by emailing us.
- Delivering your purchase and license: our contract with you.
- Keeping the website secure: our legitimate interest in protecting it.
- Keeping tax and accounting records: our legal obligations.
Who else handles it
A few service providers process data for us, only to provide their service:
- our web host, for server logs;
- our email provider, for messages sent to hello@flipbackreplay.com;
- Web3Forms, which delivers messages and sign-ups from our website forms to our inbox (its privacy policy).
We don't sell personal information or share it for advertising. We may disclose it if the law requires us to, or to a buyer if the FlipBack business is ever sold, who must then honor this policy.
How long we keep it
We keep messages for as long as we need them to deal with your request and any follow-up, then delete them. We keep your email on the availability list until we've told you FlipBack is available or you ask to be taken off. We keep purchase and license records while your license is active and for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Our host keeps server logs for a short period.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, give you a copy, or stop using it for a purpose. Email hello@flipbackreplay.com and we'll answer within one month. We won't treat you differently for asking. If you're in the EEA or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
International transfers
Our service providers may store or process data outside your country, including in the United States. When data leaves the EEA or UK, we rely on the safeguards our providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Children
FlipBack Replay is a professional tool. The site isn't meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Security
We protect the information we hold with reasonable technical and organizational measures. No way of sending or storing data is completely secure.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll say so on the site.
